Tulungang Pilipina - St. Gallen- AppenzellOstschweiz/LiechtensteinThe TP-SG/A is a Filipina women’s group initiated by Marite Belarmino Fischer in April 2004 together with four other Pinays who are based in St. Gallen and in Appenzell. The group’s name means “Filipinas helping each other”.

The aim of the group is to help fellow Pinays in their process of integrating into Swiss society and in coping with life in Switzerland. To achieve this aim, the group has an ongoing project which is funded by the Swiss Federal Office of Migration ( BFM) and the Federal Commission on Foreigners (EKA). The project involves organizing information seminars on various topics about Swiss social institutions which Filipinas in the region consider relevant to their lives. In 2005 we organized 3 seminars on the following topics: administrative offices and authorities/ professional and aid agencies of the city of St. Gallen, the school and educational system of the canton of SG and the social insurance systems of Switzerland. This year ( 2006) we recently held the seminar about the laws of Switzerland regarding marriage and family, divorce, property and inheritance as well as  residency of foreigners. In November we will hold a workshop on “culture crossing” ( understanding Philippine and Swiss cultures).

Our group networks with other migrant women’s groups in SG and with other Filipina women’s groups in other Swiss cantons.

Katipunang Pilipino SwitzerlandZürich RegionKPS' PREAMBLE  is with a pure intention to live a life which is spiritually and socially healthy, coupled with faith and hope to be guided by the Holy Spirit, as we aspire together with our family, to prosper and attain the goals we set forth in founding this group.

One of our 8 set objectives and goals is to promote and maintain mutual understanding and respect towards fellow Filipino/Swiss members, leaders, friends and other groups of people regardless of religious, educational and regional background. As well, to support projects in the Philippines,  this association deems necessary to give help, especially in times of disasters and calamities.
THEME: We love to Serve,  as it connotes service,  we thought of having this party and that the income derived  will benefit the victims.
We are truly active Filipinos in our parish church here at St. Petrus Catholic church, 8424 Embrach.
